Service Description User Group
Help Desk Provide assistance for technology-related issues, including telephone services. Students, Faculty, Staff
Email Microsoft Office 365 email system for faculty and staff to support academic and personal communication requirements. Students, Faculty, Staff
Wireless Connectivity Wireless networking is available for those who wish to use their laptops and smart devices while on campus. Students, Faculty, Staff
Empower/Student Portal This gateway allows students to maintain their contact information, register for classes, view unofficial transcripts, and pay tuition. Contact the Registrar’s Office for more details. Students
Computer Lab A student computer lab is available for students in the building 517 , room 159. Students, Faculty, Staff
Canvas Canvas is the learning management system used at KGI. It provides a web space for faculty to distribute class resources, conduct online class activities, and facilitate collaboration. Students, Faculty
Technology Equipment Check Out Students, faculty, and staff can borrow technology equipment for academic and business use. Check-out is based on availability. Students, Faculty, Staff
Classrooms All KGI classrooms have instructional technology to support faculty’s teaching and learning activities. Faculty, Staff

Box.com KGI and The Claremont Colleges use Box.com for secure file sharing, storage, and collaboration. Faculty, Staff
Web-Based Conferencing KGI uses Zoom.us for web-based conferencing. Faculty, Staff
Multifactor Authentication KGI uses DUO Multifactor authentication to enhance traditional user ID/password combinations. Multifactor Authentication increases the security of an account by requiring a user to provide multiple forms of authentication. Students, Faculty, Staff
Printing KGI uses PaperCut print software with Claremont Cash placed onto the students KGI ID card to enable students to print from their own laptops.  Students
