You are required to complete this course before your semester begins.

Dates: Monday, August 24 – Friday, August 28, 2026

International Student Orientation

Date: Friday, August 21, 2026
Time: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Attendance at Academic Prologue is required. You are required to attend the entirety of the event. If you are unable to attend due to extenuating circumstances, please contact your program director immediately for permission to be excused.

All incoming students must complete the on-boarding course by August 24, 2026.

Academic Prologues will be located at Keck Graduate Institute.
Check in will be in the Oasis Courtyard.

No, there is no additional fee for Academic Prologues.

Yes, this is a week-long, required event for all new students.

No, guests will not be allowed at Academic Prologues.

There is no sign up for Academic Prologues since this is a required event, and we are expecting all new students to attend.

You are required to complete all the tasks listed in the Onboarding Course. Items such as vaccination, various trainings, requesting for your student ID, etc. must be completed prior to your arrival.

Laptop and Software Requirements

Even with open access to computer lab PCs, KGI requires that all students have a personal laptop computer and specific software. Students are required to use computers frequently for communications and academic activities. Access to the Internet is also very important for supplementing course materials.
