All KGI students who are enrolled in in-person programs are required to meet the immunization requirements applicable to their academic program.
Required Immunizations for Students in the Henry E. Riggs School of Applied Life Sciences and Other Non-clinical Programs:
Domestic Students
- Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR) – Two-dose series
- Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis (Tdap) – Primary series plus a Tdap booster within the past 10 years
- Tuberculosis (TB) – TB skin test, chest X-ray (CXR), or Quantiferon blood test (if indicated) completed within the last 12 months
International Students
- Hepatitis B (HBV) – Three-dose series
- Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR) – Two-dose series
- Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis (Tdap) – Primary series plus a Tdap booster within the past 10 years
- Tuberculosis (TB) – TB skin test, chest X-ray (CXR), or Quantiferon blood test (if indicated) completed within the last 12 months
- Varicella Zoster (Chickenpox/VZV) – Two-dose series or documented history of the disease
- Recommended Immunizations: Meningococcal Conjugate (MCV4) – Initial dose and booster (if the initial dose was given before age 16)
Students in the Clinical Programs (OTD, MSPA, MSGC, and School of Pharmacy)
Students should refer to their program manuals and comply with all the requirements. If students have questions, they should contact their program directly for specific immunization requirements and instructions on how to submit their records.
Non-Compliance: Students in clinical programs may also be prohibited from participating in clinical placements or other clinical-related experiences until they are fully compliant with all program requirements. Failure to comply with applicable requirements by non-clinical students may be addressed as a student conduct violation for noncompliance.
